Q-Filter, Bass Filter cable and Plugs, and T-shirts

Bill was very specific about the sound he wanted from his gear — absolutely no noise. The Q-filter offers a lot of versatility; it can be used in place of the tone control or as an alternative to a split-coil setup.

Bill also used low-capacitance cable and designed push-on plugs, making assembly quick and easy.

When Bill first came to the U.S. in the early 1960s, he set up shop in Greenwich Village, where he worked on countless players' guitars — wiring, designing, and refining pickups. One of the young men who worked in his shop was Larry DiMarzio, who later gave Bill the nickname “The Godfather of Replacement Pickups.”

And it’s true — Bill mentored others and influenced the industry in countless ways.
