Maximum Noisefree Versatility and a Bold New Look for Teles
Want to explore new tonal territory and bring striking new look to your tele? Look no further from the blade pickup pioneer Bill Lawrence: The Wilde L-48TL noisefree pickup. Not only did Bill create the first twin blade replacement pickups over thirty years ago with the L-90 and L-500 series, but he also introduced noisefree blade pickups for Strats and Teles, the innovative L-220 series.
The 48 is the culmination of a decades-long mission to get the very best twin-bade performance into the restricted space dictated by the size and shape of Strat and Tele pickups. Bill didn't settle for yet another "almost" imitation of a large humbucker or a traditional single-coil. Instead, he persevered, finally achieving nothing less than a whole new dimension in noisefree tonal versatility. along with a eye-catching twin blade look for your guitar -- without sacrificing the classic sounds audiences expect.
By combining low inductance with very fine custom-made magnet wire and a high-precision, alnico-charged magnetic circuit, the L45 and L-48 avoid the pitfalls small twin blade designs. There is no flimsy open-coil construction, no clunky "rail" look, no fall-off in output on either "E" string, no inflated "boutique" price, and almost no limit to the tonal possibilities available with simple amp adjustments. Unlike traditional single-coils, the stage ready L-45 and L-48 pickups impose virtually no cable length retrictions -- with low capacitance cable, you can use lengths in excess of thirty feet with no sacrifice in performance, and even a '60's stye "coily cord" presents no probem.
The L-48TL for the Tele bridge position is available in black only and teams up perfectly with a neck position L202TN in either matching black, white, or gleaming chrome.
